Xzibit Young Creatives 2020 (XYC 2020) is an award winning choreographic and talent development programme for aspiring young choreographers and dancers from across the East Midlands aged between 11-19 years.

Curated by Gareth Woodward, this intensive programme includes mentoring from internationally renowned choreographers including Gareth Woodward & Jasmine M Eccles (Xzibit Young Creatives) Kendrick Sandy MBE (Boy Blue Entertainment), Jonzi D (Breakin’ Convention) , Tony Adigun (Avant Garde Dance) and provides the opportunity for the young people invovled to present thier own work to a live audience in professional venues around the East Midlands.

Intensive Xzibit Young Creative programmes will be delivered in each county working with partners across the East Midlands including Inspire Youth Arts, Nottingham Lakeside Arts, Dance4, artsNK, The Core at Corby Cube, Curve and Déda. To apply to be a young choreographer or dancer as part of XYC 2020 please submit an online written application form or a video talking about why you should be involved. Each county has a different deadline, full information avaialble here.  For young people wanting to be part of the Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire programmes the deadline is Saturday 21 December 2019.

XYC 2020 will also provide the opportunitiy for one young person from the East Midlands to be selected to take part in a national young choreographers programme, Young Creatives, led by One Dance UK.
