During a 2-week residency in May at iC4C, Neon Dance will begin tentative steps towards a new work that brings together contemporary minds on matters of consciousness, loneliness and ‘companion species’. Prehension Blooms has been inspired by ‘A Cyborg manifesto’ writer / thinker and Professor in the History of Consciousness; Donna Haraway, the writing of Jaron Lanier, and AI Professor, artist and technologist Takashi Ikegami.
“We’re inside of what we make, and it’s inside of us.” – Donna Haraway (The Companion Species Manifesto: Dogs, People, and Significant Otherness).
