Inscribed in “Me” is a project that is centred on developing Alethia’s solo work-in-progress that speaks of personal, historical & collective trauma. Facilitated through workshops and other public events engaging with Black Womxn, in London, Leeds and Nottingham.

Utilising movement & song, the work uses autoethnographic narratives to explore trauma in connection with race, gender & identity and self-authoring. Alongside developing current research into a full-length work, and  adapting it for outdoors & digital formats.

An extract of the work will be performed at Sadler’s Wells’ Wild Card January 20 and 21 2022, and the full work will premiere at The Place in April 2022.
