Dance4 is proud of the breadth of support we can, and do, offer artists from our home at the international Centre for Choreography (iC4C). Within our beautiful space we create a safe environment for dance artists to explore ideas focused on open research questions and explorations, or to make and create.
Dance4 supports and nurtures artists from a philosophy of risk, curiosity and doubt. We seek to support work that challenges perceptions of dance, blurs disciplinary boundaries and that explores current and future choreographic practices.
At iC4C we welcome artists all year round to undertake residencies, and we create an environment that is conducive in all the right ways. From tea and cake with the team talking about life, to formalised critical studio feedback, or being bodies in the space – it is a wonderful space to work and play. At times when we are unable to use our space, we seek new ways in which to make residencies happen.
See below some of the fabulous artists we have welcomed in the past, or are coming to visit soon. To find out more, please download and read Dance4’s Curatorial policy for residencies.
