Usually iC4C is full of CAT students on a Saturday morning. However last Saturday we had lots of CAT parents joining us and even taking part in pilates and ballet with their young people for a change.

The smell of bacon and coffee wofted through the air as parents were first greeted with a yummy breakfast cooked by our very own Producer Hayley and CAT Coordinator Jess.

Fuelled with full bellies and caffiene, the parents then joined their young people for their regular pilates and ballet class. It was great fun and fantastic to see so many parents getting an insight into their children’s professional development.

Parents remarked on how nice it was to be afforded the opportunity to meet other parents. So often parents see each other at sharings and in car parks but rarely get the opportuntiy to actually sit down and chat. Even better when you consider we were all coming together to raise funds for such a fabulous campaign.

This was all in aid of Dance4’s latest fundraising campaign For Studio4. In Summer 2018, Dance4 will launch its outdoor studio in the heart of Sneinton. Studio4 will be created in King Edward Park, opposite Dance4’s home, the international Centre for Choreography (iC4C).

The creation of the outdoor studio will bring new opportunities for inspiring artists to get involved with the local community as well as fun events for all the family as part of its programme of summer activities that includes Dance4 in the Park in July.

Thanks to all of those that came and took part, donated and enjoyed breakfast at iC4C a fantastic £177.50 was raised.
