From January 2022, East Midlands Dance Artist Network (EMDAN) continue their series of contemporary based practical dance classes open to all dance artists across the region.
The sessions will be led by passionate and experienced local dance artist, Sophie Thorpe. Classes will offer the opportunity to move together in a safe and supportive environment.
This class will focus on feeling grounded and centred, working through breath and isolation exercises to whole body movement and sequences. Using and building upon floor, standing and traveling work, the class will seek to find differing range and rhythm, exploring space, breath and freedom in body. Sarah encourages individual interpretation and offers differentiated options, particularly for any trick based movements.
Below is a list of all the upcoming classes for January to February 2022 taking place on Mondays 7 to 8.30pm.
Please note: There will be no session on 21 February as it is half term.
Suitability: This is an open and accessible class suitable for all dance practitioners/artists working in all areas of dance and the arts. Some experience of practical dance training required.
Booking closes at 7pm on Monday 31 January 2022.
Please read our Covid-19 10-point plan for all visitors to iC4C to ensure everyone’s safety.
