East Midlands Dance Artist Network (EMDAN) continue their series of contemporary based practical dance classes open to all dance artists across the region.

The sessions will be led by Katharine Markee. This open, release-based class is offered with experienced older movers, or returners, in mind. Katharine is an approachable, sensitive teacher and is keen to create a warm and supportive environment.

As well as an accessible class, for anyone feeling rusty, practitioners can expect a healthy dollup of rangy, joyful movement.

Class will build gently through simple, mobilising floor work developing towards expansive travelling sequences. Particular emphasis will be placed on the use of weight and momentum as well as musicality.

Suitability: This is an open and accessible class suitable for all dance practitioners/ artists working in all areas of dance and the arts. Some experience of practical dance training required.

Booking closes at 7.15pm on Monday 27 June 2022.

Please read our guidance for visitors to iC4C to ensure everyone’s safety.
