A creative workshop inspired by Kerryn Wise’s practice which is exploring how choreography can be created in 360 video virtual environments. The workshop will be a hands-on, laboratory style opportunity to experiment with evolving techniques. These include filming techniques for 360, choreographic methods for guiding attention, and ways to shift audiences perceptual understanding within these new virtual panoramic environments.
The workshop will contemplate the ways that these new 360 technologies can be combined with live elements to create mixed reality performances, producing embodied audience journeys that move across virtual and physical space.
Aimed at dancers and those with a choreographic or performance practice interested in working with new technologies, no experience of working with technology needed.
Suitable for 16 years and above.
