Graduate Dance Artist role created

Dance4 is delighted to have been selected as one of the hosts for the Weston Jerwood Creative Bursaries 2017-19.

This nationwide programme supports arts organisations to expand their approach to diverse recruitment and talent development, and build their capacity for outstanding artistic production. Salaried placement roles have been created that are only open to recent graduates from low income backgrounds, in order to address the under-representation of this group in the creative sector.

Dance4 has developed a year-long, full-time role as a Graduate Dance Artist from December 2017 to November 2018. The successful candidate will be supported to develop their skills in several areas including choreography, performance and teaching through working on residencies and projects with Dance4 and involvement in selection panels and networks in order to give them the best possible chance of realising their ambitions for a career as a dance artist.

Full details of the national programme, the host organisations and roles across the UK and the eligibility criteria for applicants can be found on the Jerwood Charitable Foundation’s website.
