Dance4’s Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) provides access to world-class training opportunities and spaces for young people aged between 11-18 years with exceptional potential in dance.

Training takes place at weekends during term time and also in the form of intensives and residencies during the holidays. Students are supported to learn, explore and develop by some of the UK’s most inspiring dance professionals.

Dance4’s Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) in Dance for the East Midlands is one of nine National Centres across the UK.

The national CAT network delivers accessible, non-residential, professional training programmes for young people who demonstrate exceptional potential in dance. The National Dance CATs are supported through the Department for Education’s Music and Dance Scheme. Each CAT operates from a host organisation that is recognised for their excellence and commitment to the arts.
