Theo Clinkard in 2017 premiered and toured This Bright Field across the UK commissioned and co-produced by Dance4.
Over 5 years, Brighton-based choreographer and theatre designer, Theo Clinkard has built an international reputation for creating affecting and visually arresting works that explore the communicative potential of the body and the empathetic nature of dance in performance. He launched his company in 2012 and subsequently created numerous works which have toured across the UK and internationally, including Hell Bent, Ordinary Courage, Of Land & Tongue and Chalk.
In 2015 he received his first professional commission from Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch where he created Somewhat still when seen from above for the dancers and theatre technicians of the company as part of their historic first evening of new work since the legendary choreographer passed away.
In 2016, he was invited to Havana to create The Listening Room for twenty dancers at Danza Contemporanea de Cuba. The piece toured across the UK with Dance Consortium in 2017.
