Lewys Holt is an interdisciplinary dance artist based in the UK.
Lewys works as a dancer, choreographer, teacher and curates Roadhouse with Eleanor Sikorski. Born in Mold in North Wales and raised in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, Lewys studied BA dance at De Montfort University (2010-13), he went on to an MA in Performance Practices from De Montfort University the following year (2013-14).
His performance making practice, while focusing on dance, spans comedy, visual arts and devised theatre. His dance practice primarily concerns improvisation. He has worked as a performer with prominent international artists including: Tino Sehgal, Sally Marie, New Art Club, Simone Mousset, Rosemary Lee and Christopher Owen. Lewys is also an associate artist at Attenborough Arts Centre and is a member of Chisenhale Dance Space.
