Janine Harrington is British choreographer, performer and writer working nomadically between formats and places.

Harrington’s works are usually for non-theatre contexts and foreground ideas about relationship, agency and attention, exploring embodied interactivity and game-playing.

In recent years she has been commissioned in the UK by: Brighton Festival, South East Dance, AIR Studio/ Islington Borough Council, Siobhan Davies Dance and Big Dance. In 2018 she presents Screensaver Series at Dance Umbrella in London and STACK and The Performing Book at Sadler’s Wells Presents: Wilderness Festival. Harrington also organises Unspecified Involvements, a platform for partial and experimental writing practices. 2012-2017 she worked as a performer with Tino Sehgal, most recently at Fondation Beyeler, Basel, dancing the solo Instead of allowing some thing to rise up to your face dancing bruce and dan and other things. In Belgium she works with ENGAGEMENT, an artist-led anti-sexism campaign.
