Danni Spooner is a UK-based dance artist who creates her own work and performs in others.
Her own work focuses on Queer culture and cyborg culture – sometimes together and sometimes separately. When working with Queer culture as a life of the work, she prioritises bringing the Queer community with her in the process of the work as a way of supporting and celebrating queerness as much as possible. An example of this would be her film work FAG (2016) which was a Random Acts commission from Rural Media and was aired on Channel 4.
Some previous performances include: two Goldfrapp music videos, being a regular dancer for Livia Rita, performance installation for Harper’s Bazaar, regular showings of Bryony Gillard’s A cap, like water, transparent, fluid yet with definite body and being a part of FUELLED Dance Theatre.
