Born Glasgow, Scotland 1974, Colette Sadler trained in Classical Ballet in Glasgow and London, and went on to complete a BA (Hons) at The Laban Centre, London.

She worked Internationally as a dancer between 1994‐2002 as part of Transitions Dance Company and for choreographers including Vicente Saez Spain and Wayne McGregor.

In 2002 she began to develop her own choreographic work with support from Tramway Glasgow and New Moves International Glasgow. Since 2006 she is based partly in Berlin and regularly tours her choreographic work to festivals and venues across Europe. Since 2010 she is supported by Dance4 in Nottingham.

Her works reflect a conceptually motivated and interdisciplinary approach to making performance and dance. Works include dDumY another myself (2006), The Making of Doubt (2008), Musical (2009), I not I (2011), Variations 1 (on order and anarchy) (2013), We Are The Monsters (a work for young audience) (2014), and Notebook Series (2014) in collaboration with German stage designer Philine Rinnert.

In 2015 she will premiere a new work entitled GEIST. Colette regularly gives workshops, writes and talks about her work internationally in a variety of contexts.
