Youth Dance England (YDE) & East Midlands Youth Dance Developments
Youth Dance England is the national organisation that champions dance for children and young people. They work to ensure that dance is available to all, both in and out of school settings. Through a shared vision with the national youth dance network and other partners, their aim is to increase access, raise standards and improve progression routes.

Dance4 has been working with YDE to develop and support youth dance opportunities in the region since 2006. We have developed a Business Plan to set out the regional strategy for youth dance from 2009 to 2011 and through this we’ve secured £175,000 from YDE (through funds from DCMS, DCSF and Arts Council). The Business Plan and the executive summary document are available here.
