A London based artist, Nicola creates performance work that explores the role of the body in performance, with a particular interest in how an audience presence completes an event of live work.

Nicola's work ranges from durational installation performance, to more conventional theatre formats.  Her work is shown in theatres as well as gallery and studio spaces including Nottingham Contemporary, The Royal Opera House, The Place, Laban, Déda, Siobhan Davies Studios and National Theatre Studios.

Nicola is currently pursuing practice based doctoral research at Laban, exploring how conceptions of audience inform performance practice.

Nicola's current piece Practice as been presented at Nottingham Contemporary and Laban Theatre. Nicola's other works have included The Beckoning And The Escapades.  

Nicola is currently working with Dance4 and Nottingham Trent University MA students to create a series of repsonses that explores both Practice as a work and their artistic practice. These responses will be shared in December as part of Exploring Practice (working title).
