Based in Hertfordshire, Dog Kennel Hill Project is a dance/performance collective formed by dance artists Ben Ash, Henrietta Hale and Rachel Lopez de la Nieta.
Their work is rooted in movement studies, but crosses over with many disciplines including sound, visual art, performance and social/historical enquiry. By exploring new contexts for dance they question what dance is, where it can happen and who can dance.
Their current project People Working Project supported by Escalator Performing Arts involves the research and development of performance events that occur as interventions in spaces that are normally considered ‘work’ spaces.
Dog Kennel Hill Project is currently developing an application to take this work forward with strands of activity in Gallery Spaces, Town Centres and on Canals.
