QUAKE09

If you didn’t make QUAKE09, you missed another electrifying platform event for Dance4 and Deda, with a pick and mix treat of cymbals, stand up comedy, sunglasses and eccentric box office staff.

Presenting artists and performers from around the UK, QUAKE saw the musical, the comical, the classical and the down right outrageous. The programme consisted of dance and performance work in the theatre as well as a series of installations that audience members could dip in and out of, with artists invading the nether regions of Deda including the box office, lift motor room, staircases, studios and café bars.

Collaboratively, Dance4 and Déda aimed to identify artists both in the region and nationally that we felt were exciting and offered something new: and that’s exactly what we did.

QUAKE09 saw a full house and a mesmerizing night was had by all who came.
