Pioneering Hip Hop theatre artist Robert Hylton, whose left of centre approach to hip hop, theatre, film and contemporary dance choreography has carved an original artist. Robert's work is ground breaking, dynamic and accessible. Hylton was a nominee for the Jerwood Choreography Award, and previously an Associate Artist at The Place, London.

Film work includes Jaffaman, funded by Capture 2002 shown on Channel 4, with director Oliver Ashton. Two Sugars with My Hip Hop pleas' with director Curtis James, an education film with an OAP group commissioned by the Royal Festival Hall and in 2008 his directorial debut will be seen on Channel 4 in the Spring with his new short film Fresh A Spaghetti and Fried Chicken Western. Education is at the forefront of Robert's work which has taken him all around the world, teaching Hip Hop and contemporary fusion, along side specific Hip Hop only intensives such as Skills n Drills a yearly event focusing on Hip Hop dance technique, history and video lectures

His Stage work as a soloist and company choreography such as Life in Urban Classicism and Verse & Verses have toured relentlessly in the UK and internationally as far a field as Australia, New Zealand, Bangkok, Indonesia, Taiwan, Belgium, Copenhagen, Cyprus, Holland, Italy, Mozambique, South Africa, Lithuania, Prague, Zagreb, Cuba, Libya and Algeria.
