In this documentary, world renown choreographer Alain Platel celebrates the essence of the human characteristics which have been fuelling the work of the dance company he created and directs, Les Ballets C. de la B. Focusing on the performers’ personal journeys, this is a rare insight into a unique and controversial company in the world of dance theatre. Les ballets de ci de là is an emotional voyage allowing us to share the artistic and human adventure of the dancers today.

Young Choreographers Intensive
We are keen to work with local young artists in developing the next generation of choreographers in dance. In order to achieve this, we have a year round programme of work with young people. During nottdance08, Gabriele Reuter will be leading an intensive weekend to artistically support young choreographers (15-19 years) in the region. The programme, supported by Youth Dance England (YDE), takes place on the weekend of the 25 / 26 October and aims to support a selected group of young people with an interest in choreography with a view of progressing into national initiatives such as YDE‚ Young Creatives. This programme aims to give young choreographers the skills to create innovative performance work through taking part in workshops, viewing live and DVD work, and receiving feedback on their current work. During this weekend, participants will have a chance to try out their ideas with their peers and the youngest artist presenting work in nottdance08.
To express an interest in taking part or for more info on our young peoples
programme contact info@dance4.co.uk or
