Douglas is her polar opposite; he fancies himself as a bit of a writer. He wants to help her, but he has problems of his own. Darkly humorous, this is a modern day romance of sorts, told through dance, text and song. As the story unfolds, the performers reveal a world of complex human desires in which exterior pain is an escape from the interior of the mind.
Probe's daring piece of dance theatre May is written by Tim Crouch (Royal Court, National Theatre), directed by Dance4 Associate Pete Shenton (New Art Club), and is performed by Probe's Artistic Director Antonia Grove, Scott Smith and Ben Duke (winning choreographer of The Place Prize 2011).
