Odori-Dawns-Dance: Forest and Clearing is a new project by choreographer Sioned Huws. It will be performed alongside Japanese artists Reina Kimura and Honami Shimizu.
Odori-Dawns-Dance: Forest and Clearing will explore a sense of place to reveal the poetry of dance and community as a large family, the situations and the friendships. Individuals will be asked to share photographs and physical memories of people and place, and from this collaboratively form rituals alongside traditional, modern and post modern Japanese movement.
Produced and commissioned by Dance4. Supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, with additional support from the Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation and De Montfort University.
