Fancy Performing at Splash Dance Weekend Festival?

Call for submissions from interested dance groups
Dance4 in partnership with the Big Dance East Midlands Hub Partners has commissioned the widely acclaimed, ever popular New Art Club to choreograph an extraordinary performance spectacular at National Water Sports Centre during Splashdance Weekend.

We are seeking:

• Groups in any genre of dance

• Groups involved in any style of sport

to work with New Art Club’s award winning choreographers Pete Shenton and Tom Roden to create this flagship commission.

Taking inspiration from Olympic Water Sports and Team GB rowers the commission will celebrate the theme of Heroes, based around the 12 Labours of Hercules.

Tom and Pete will work with interested groups to create different sections to be choreographed together with their work and performed at the National Water Sports Centre on Sunday 8 July.

Participating groups will also have an opportunity to host their own activities throughout the festival.  These could include workshops, sharings or ‘come and have a go’ activities located around the National Water Sport Centre.

We want to hear from groups from across the East Midlands region. Interested groups will be required to commit to rehearsals and take responsibility to practice the choreography leading up to the performance.

Important dates:
Dress Rehearsal Wednesday 4 July
Splash Dance Weekend 7 and 8 July.

To register your interest please get in touch with rebecca [at] dance4 [dot] co [dot] uk (Rebecca)  or call 0115 941 0773 by 2 May.
